À propos de Phi Maestro 3

The Phi Maestro 3 is the third generation of Hannes Papesh's flagship high-B XC platform — 76 cells, 5.65 flat aspect ratio, four sizes covering 65–115 kg, EN/LTF B certified. Continues the Maestro lineage that helped define what a high-B is, with notably more performance and a more relaxed, balanced feel than the Maestro 2.

Aspect ratio is up slightly over the Maestro 2, with a different profile, different rigging, different straps, retuned canopy tension, mini-ribs, and Nitinol rods with padding. The result is more performance, slightly higher top speed, smoother and easier handling, better climb, and a calmer, more stable feel — Papesh's own assessment is that the Maestro 3 manages all of those at once, which is unusual. Practical changes for a wider target group: normal-length risers (rather than the long ones some past Phi wings have used) and more line covering — every line down to the carabiners is sheathed except for the stabilo, which makes ground handling and pre-flight cleaner. Cloth is double-coated Skytex 32 / 27. Riser layout is R014 3+1, 540 mm risers across all sizes, 180 mm speed travel. The lightweight version (Maestro 3 Light) covers a wider size range — sizes 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 — with the two largest sizes available in light version only to keep weight and pack volume in hand.

Points forts

  • Easier to fly than the Maestro 2 — calmer, more balanced, better handling at the same time as more performance
  • Higher top speed and improved climb vs. the predecessor
  • Sheathed lines down to the carabiners (except stabilo) — cleaner ground handling, fewer tangles
  • Normal-length risers — accessible to a wider range of pilots than past Phi platforms
  • Nitinol rods with padding, retuned canopy tension and mini-ribs — modern construction
  • Double-coated Skytex 32/27 cloth — durability without weight penalty
