Advance Bibeta 6

The Advance Bibeta 6 is the sixth generation of the Bibeta — the first in the line developed in close collaboration with commercial tandem pilots, including operators flying out of the Interlaken tandem mecca. Two sizes (38 and 41), 53 cells, 5.45 flat aspect ratio, EN/LTF B certified to 180 / 225 kg take-off weight. Trimmer-equipped 3+1 riser layout.

Headline trait is everyday usability for ten-flights-a-day commercial work: line sorting takes a single shake of the three-line risers, the canopy comes up evenly without overshoot — passenger and pilot get airborne quickly. In the air, brake response is direct and precise to small inputs with comfortable loading and clean flare behaviour at landing. Despite being light by tandem standards (6.7 kg in 38), the structure is reinforced everywhere it matters: sliced diagonals, crossing rods in the leading edge, broad-gauge lines and strengthened support points — all aimed at long service life under high-cycle commercial use. Loop reinforcement on every line uses an internally-spliced cover at each loop, which increases contact area where thin line meets thicker line and stops the cut-through that kills tandem lines over time. Base-line loops add external covers where they meet the quick links. Lines themselves are mostly uncovered Edelrid Magix Pro Aramid — twice coated (Thermo Shield + UV-Protec) for 20% more strength, 17% better kink/bending resistance, longer life, length stability and resistance to water/dust over equivalent sheathed lines, with colour coding to keep sorting easy. Trimmers add ~6 km/h speed for safety reserve in stronger wind, and combine with split-A big ears (Vary-Grip) — the outer A line jams in a cleat on the back of the C riser, holding ears folded hands-free for as long as needed (camera, brake-only steering, taking weight off the biceps on long descents).
