Advance Sigma DLS

The Advance Sigma DLS is the latest in a more than 30-year-old XC sport-class line — now reworked around a redesigned internal structure, Nitinol front mini ribs and Advance's Durable Lightweight Structure approach. Three-line EN/LTF C with C-handle pitch control, 65 cells, 6.1 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 57–128 kg. Sub-3.7 kg in size 20 — light, but rated for daily use rather than treated as a delicate light wing.

The big technical change is the front mini ribs at the leading edge: their job is to hold the aerodynamic shape exactly where it matters most. Combined with the new profile, profile fidelity is up significantly over the Sigma 11 and that translates directly into the performance leap Advance is talking about — without changing the pilot brief. The mini-rib reinforcements use super-elastic Nitinol wires, which add durability and reduce pack volume, since they don't take a set under stress. The 3-line layout keeps the safety reserves of a traditional EN C, with C-handle steering that transfers C inputs directly to the B level — wing keeps its profile shape under handle input, full performance preserved. Lift distribution and canopy tensioning are tuned for forgiving thermal handling and direct, precise inputs in the brakes — the wing has the playful side of the Sigma family rather than feeling like a heavy XC machine. Lines are colour-coded Edelrid Pro Dry — 60% more water-repellent than previous generations, very stable in length over many flights. Cloth choice mixes Skytex 38 universal on the leading edge, Skytex 32 universal on the top surface, lighter Skytex 27 classic II on the bottom, with Skytex 40/32/27 hard finish on profiles and tension tapes.
