BGD Epic Freestyle
À propos de BGD Epic Freestyle
The BGD Epic Freestyle is a full-size acro / freestyle paraglider — 42 cells, 5.0 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 50–125 kg, EN/LTF B certified. Built around teaching and progressing through the freestyle manoeuvre catalogue (stalls, spins, SATs, Helicopter and the transitions between them — Spin-to-Heli, SAT-to-Heli, Misty, Mactwist) while staying forgiving enough to thermal back up between sets.
The defining trait — and the reason instructors run training fleets on it — is forgiveness. The Epic Freestyle does the manoeuvres and the transitions, but if your timing is off, the wing reverts to behaving like a regular EN B and stops shooting before it pushes you somewhere bad. That makes it a real progression tool rather than a punishment platform: pilots can explore the manoeuvre catalogue with much smaller margins for mistakes than a dedicated acro wing would allow. Trim 38 km/h, top 50 km/h, quoted best glide 9 and minimum sink 1 m/s. Riser layout is 3/4/3 main lines.
Points forts
- EN/LTF B certified — full-size wing, regular weight ranges, can be flown to climb back up between sets
- Reverts to typical EN B behaviour if your manoeuvre timing is off — wing won't shoot through
- Designed specifically as a progression tool for stalls, spins, SATs, Helicopter and transitions
- Five sizes covering 50–125 kg — broad pilot coverage including light pilots
- Best glide 9 / sink 1 m/s — usable for thermalling, not just one-shot acro pulls
- Instructor-friendly: large built-in safety margin during student training
