BGD Adam 2

The BGD Adam 2 is the second generation of BGD's school-class EN A wing — 36 cells, 4.8 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 50–125 kg, EN/LTF A across the range. Built explicitly around taking the stress out of learning to fly, both for students and for instructors who have to watch them.

Setup is the part that often overwhelms new pilots, so BGD kept it straightforward: 20 mm risers in coloured, labelled webbing; sheathed lines, all coloured by level. Launch behaviour is excellent — ground handling and getting airborne are unusually easy for the class. In flight, pitch, roll and yaw stability are all strong, which lets students settle into the harness without fighting the wing. Brake travel is long with pressure ramping clearly up to a well-defined stall point, so the wing won't accidentally stall under student-grade input. Spiral behaviour was thoroughly tested — no tendency to lock in. Trim 37 km/h, top 48 km/h, quoted best glide 8.5 and minimum sink 1 m/s. The new coloured undersurface (Amber, Quartz, Diamond) is partly a visibility safety feature: makes the wing easy to see from above and below for other pilots, and lets instructors identify their students from the ground without binoculars.
