About the Niviuk Peak 6

The Niviuk Peak 6 is the sixth generation of Niviuk's flagship EN D XC wing — 80 cells, 6.9 flat aspect ratio, four sizes covering 70–125 kg, A-A'/B riser layout. Aimed at experienced sport pilots who want EN D performance with handling that's easier to live with than the previous generation, with B-riser incidence retuned for more precise, more responsive control on bar.

Performance came from refining the profile rather than chasing aspect ratio: the wing uses air movements as energy input — pushing through different air masses and using inertia to extend glide — and it reaches a higher top speed than the Peak 5. Climb behaviour is the headline trait: very efficient entry into thermals, climbs strongly, and the sail gives clean information about the air on glides so lift is easier to spot and use. Pitch and roll stability hold up across the speed range, including at full bar. Construction reflects Niviuk's usual attention to finish: clean surface tensioning, optimised arc, Nitinol rods in the profile, an upgraded line set with optimised load distribution, and Ergo handles. The result is a taut sail with drag minimised through finishing rather than aggressive geometry. Available in three standard colours (Lizard, Zura, Zeester) with optional custom colours and logos at extra cost.

Strengths

  • Reworked B-riser incidence — more precise and responsive than past Peaks
  • Strong climb efficiency and clear feedback on glide — well suited to long sport-class XC
  • Solid pitch and roll stability across the speed range, including at full bar
  • Higher top speed than the Peak 5 with no obvious cost in handling
  • Nitinol rods, optimised arc and clean line/profile work — well-finished sail with low parasitic drag
