About GIN Gliders Explorer 3
Third-generation Explorer, aimed at experienced EN-B pilots pushing their XC range and at anyone coming down from a higher class who wants performance with more comfort. Airfoil, planform, internal structure, wingtips and line layout are all new. The profile sits further towards the stable end of the spectrum, pitching moment shifted nose-up, so it holds its attitude in turbulent air and reacts progressively when it gets hit. New elliptical stabilo with raked tips pushes the tip vortices away from the lifting surface and cuts induced drag, which pays off more the faster you go. Wave Leading Edge from GIN LAB improves efficiency at high angles of attack, lowers sink at slow speed and makes the stall more progressive. More brake range than the Explorer 2, it carves and holds energy so you can set bank angle precisely, from flat efficient turns to tight cores, with the same float. Rear-riser control handles pitch and trajectory on bar, clear feedback and reasonable control forces on long transitions.
