Skywalk Arak 2

The Skywalk Arak 2 is the second generation of Skywalk's versatile mid-B XC platform — 49 cells, 5.22 flat aspect ratio, six sizes covering 55–135 kg, LTF/EN B certified. Lighter and more compact than the original Arak, with the headline feature being the addition of SPEED CONTROL — usually reserved for higher classes — for rear-riser steering on bar.

Most of the gain over the original Arak is structural rather than configurational: advanced manufacturing techniques give better profile fidelity and more stable flight, with measurable performance gains paired with a more compact, lighter wing. Inflation is steady — the canopy comes up continuously over the pilot, useful on tighter mountain take-offs — and the new Smart Link System uses colour-coded riser seams (red = left, blue = right) to make sure risers connect untwisted and on the right side. SPEED CONTROL is the big in-flight change: rear-riser steering on bar lets the pilot smooth out turbulence and pitch without releasing the speed bar, which translates into higher average speed in active glides. Handling is direct and agile — the wing rewards inventive turning, finds thermal cores easily, and gives clean feedback to build pilot confidence. The complete Skywalk technology stack is present: JET FLAPS to extend the green arc near stall, mini-ribs at the trailing edge for shape stability, Rigid Foil nylon wires in the leading edge for shape retention, 3D-Shaping at the leading edge to cut wrinkling, C-Wires over the C-line anchor points to spread load, Shark Nose for solid pressure distribution under bar, and the Sand Release System 2.0 for cleaner long-term sail life.
