Skywalk Masala 4

The Skywalk Masala 4 is a lightweight EN A wing built for the beginner-to-progressing pilot who wants the same equipment to cover their first flights, first hike & fly tours and first XC steps — 38 cells, 4.8 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 55–120 kg, LTF/EN A certified across the full weight range. From 2.8 kg in size 70+, it is among the lightest wings in Skywalk's lightweight range and packs unusually small for an A-rated school-capable platform.

On launch, colour-coded riser seams (Smart Link System) immediately reveal twisted risers, and the user-friendly line mix simplifies pre-flight; the wing rises homogeneously over the pilot and self-corrects, which works well for first-time take-offs and for hike & fly mountain launches where you don't get many tries. In flight, pleasant roll damping and high safety reserves give an intuitive, confidence-building feel — the wing handles turbulence forgivingly so beginners can spend brain cycles on flying decisions instead of fighting the canopy. Loaded toward the upper end of the weight range, the Masala 4 turns notably more dynamic — same EN A rating, but a quicker and sportier feel that keeps pilots interested as their skills progress (Skywalk note that flying in the extended weight range will have you "flying much too fast for your instructor's comfort"). Skywalk's technology stack is present: JET FLAPS to extend the green arc near stall, Rigid Foil with nylon and Nitinol wires in the leading edge for shape retention, 3D-Shaping at the leading edge, mini-ribs at the trailing edge, C-Wires over the C-line anchor points, Shark Nose for solid pressure distribution under bar, the Smart Link System (red/blue riser seams), and the Sand Release System 2.0 for cleaner long-term sail life.
