Gin GTO 3
Über Gin GTO 3
The Gin GTO 3 is the third generation of Gin's top-end EN C XC wing — 71 cells, 6.5 flat aspect ratio, six sizes covering 60–130 kg. The headline feature is Gin's Wave Leading Edge, a humpback-whale-tubercle-inspired profile developed in the GIN LAB wind-tunnel project run jointly with Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea.
The new profile is tuned for pitch stability, especially on bar — the wing tracks cleanly through the air with a floaty feel through glides, and the long accelerator travel paired with optimised B-riser pressure makes the upper end of the speed range genuinely usable. Climb performance is the other area where the swept-back planform and Wave Leading Edge pay off: the wing finds and holds cores with minimal pilot input, so you can spend brain cycles on strategy instead of fighting the wing in turbulence. Handling is direct and intuitive, with the kind of confidence-inspiring turn response Gin is known for in the EN C class. Wave Leading Edge specifically improves performance at high angles of attack — better sink rate at low speeds and a more delayed, progressive stall.
