O modelu Triple Seven Rook 3

The Triple Seven Rook 3 is the third generation of 777's high-B XC platform — 61 cells, 5.6 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 60–119 kg, EN/LTF B certified across the lineup. Designer Urban Valic's decision was unusual: instead of evolving from the Rook 2, he based the Rook 3 on the Queen 2 (777's class-leading EN C) and detuned it for EN B comfort thresholds — keeping the higher-class performance and handling, but trimming out the rough-air vices.

Visual design uses the smallest number of seams possible — every stitch in the canopy is there for performance, with contrast-coloured panels providing the racy look. The reduced-seam construction has a real aerodynamic benefit: noticeably less pressure leakage, with the canopy pressurised to maximum across the angle-of-attack range. Cloth: Dominico N30 DMF on the top surface, N20 DMF on the bottom, Skytex Porcher 40 Hard on profiles, diagonals and mini-ribs. 13 mm Kevlar-reinforced Nylon webbing risers with Harken P18 mm ball-bearing pulleys, and an incorporated BC steering system. Technology stack: BPI (Back Position Intake), VDO (Visual Design Optimization), STE (smooth trailing edge), OCV (Optimized Cross Vents), LMO (Optimized geometry of suspension lines and materials for prolonged trim). Suspension and main lines are PPSLS Liros and Edelrid A-8000-U. The package includes a BOX backpack in size 75/110/150 to suit pilot preference.

Mocne strony

  • Designed off the Queen 2 (EN C) and detuned to EN B — high-class performance and handling carry over
  • Reduced-seam canopy — measurably less pressure leakage, full pressurisation across the AoA range
  • Incorporated BC steering system — usable AoA control on bar without aftermarket additions
  • Harken ball-bearing pulleys + Kevlar-reinforced 13 mm risers — smooth bar with durable connection
  • LMO geometry / line-material mix — designed for prolonged trim stability over many flights
  • Box backpack in three sizes (75/110/150) included — pack-volume choice in the standard package
