Selling my beloved Spit2 because it's time to downsize. She was my second wing and was exactly what I needed to take me from beginner to intermediate/advanced in both speed riding and foot launch. When I decided to sell her I sent her to the best wing service shop in the Haute Savoie (Rip'Air in Talloires https://www.ripair.com) for a full €495 revision so I that I can confidently sell – and you can confidently buy – a safe, reliable, professionally-serviced wing. She hasn't been flown since the revision and my goal in selling her is that she'll provide as much stoke for the next owner as she did for me. Feel free to hit me back with any questions.
Manufactured: January 2017
***Couldn't get the revision doc to upload so send me a message and I'll send the revision results and invoice.
SPEED CHANNEL WingList - "Outstanding speedriding wing. Much faster than the first generation (slimmer profile, higher cell count). State of art stability on low speeds and at wing unload (thanks light fabric). Not exceptional, but correct energy retention for riding, and quite limited for speedflying. Short lines for compact feeling and fast rolls. Auto-following and self-controlling behaviour. Can be really steep and fast. Good for speedflying also in bigger sizes, but the glide range is steep, nice for canyon explorers. Not really ideal for beginners compared to Spitfire1 (except big sizes), due to higher speed and faster reactions"
Xcmag.com - "Swing’s Spitfire 2 is a full-on speedriding wing for fans of high-energy swooping, optimised for ski-launch. A lightweight wing with short lines Swing say it is fast with uncompromising handling and excellent canopy feedback, great for aggressive barrel rolls and the like. Swing say it has an improved glide and longer brake travel, so you can initiate lovely steep dives, and it will follow your tight ski turns without hesitation, yet remain above you even if you ride into deep snow."
Paraglide.co.uk - "The Swing Spitfire2 has established itself over recent years as the benchmark in speed riding and this glider is an icon in its category. It feels completely at home on the snow-covered slopes in mountain regions with its direct and uncompromising handling. The shortened lines and the lightweight construction using the hard-wearing and waterproof-coated 20 dtex fabric transform the pilot and glider into one, allowing complete focus on finding the best line. Once again we have been able to use the control lines and extended trim travel to increase the glide angle window considerably. The result is a new and previously unmatched dive, with almost the same glide as the Mirage."
