The BGD Magic 2 is BGD's high-performance EN A — 38 cells, 4.9 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 50–125 kg, EN/LTF A across the range. Trim 37 km/h, top 50 km/h, quoted best glide 9.1–9.5 (improving with size) and minimum sink 0.9–1.0 m/s. The brief is a school-capable wing that's genuinely fun to thermal — not a dampened entry wing pilots leave behind in a season.
The wing is positioned as the high-performance end of the EN A class — pilots get easy launches, excellent passive safety and beginner-friendly response, but with the brake feedback and thermal feel that usually start at EN B. Construction uses material and structural choices that stand up to school-fleet abuse without weight penalty: 4.8 kg in size M, lighter than many full-construction EN A peers despite the durability target. Riser layout is 3/4/3 main lines.
