Flare Moustache 2

The Flare Moustache 2 is the second generation of Flare's parakite — a hybrid wing that combines the depower and stability of a kite with the glide performance and safety of a paraglider, built around their FLARE soaring system. Aimed at pilots who want to extend the wind range past where mini-wings give up, ride dunes and coastal lines, or snowkite up a mountain and fly back down.

The platform is a deliberate departure from "regular" paragliding: handling habits that keep pilots safe on a paraglider can actually be dangerous on a parakite, so Flare runs a structured tutorial and academy program covering inflation/take-off, ground handling, flying and landing, safety basics, wind-range evaluation, soaring, and snowkiting. Generation-2 changes vs. the original Moustache focus on more precision and progression — Flare describe targeted design upgrades aimed at making the wing easier to learn on while sharpening the experienced-pilot top end. The FLARE system's usable wind range starts where mini-wings stop and extends up into ranges where most paragliders cannot fly safely. Use cases are intentionally varied: coastal soaring (left-right plus up-down), mountain ridge soaring, dune sessions, and snowkiting up steep terrain. Sizing matters more than for a regular paraglider — choice depends on pilot weight, intended wind range, and discipline mix.
