Big change vs. the original Altirando Lite is the rucksack: now taller with a roll-top closure, so volume scales from compact (rolled down for hike & fly) up to expanded (full XC kit). Two stretchy shoulder-strap pockets fit 500 ml soft flasks or plastic bottles, dedicated tube exits on both rucksack and harness for hydration bladders, zipped waist-belt pocket, and removable Velcro-attached waist belt for pure-light missions. Conversion is the part reviewers single out: harness zips entirely into its own inner compartment, so the package always ends up the same neat rectangular shape — air intakes for the airbag are no longer exposed in rucksack mode (a generation-1 issue).
