Skywalk Arak Air 2
Sobre el Skywalk Arak Air 2
The Skywalk Arak Air 2 is the second generation of Skywalk's lightweight Arak — 49 cells, 5.35 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 55–120 kg, LTF/EN B certified. Sub-2.9 kg in size 70+, with construction tech borrowed directly from Skywalk's X-Alps gliders. The headline addition vs. the original Arak Air is the SPEED CONTROL rear-riser handle — accelerated steering without releasing the speed bar.
Manufacturing techniques and design were both reworked over the predecessor: more performance with even easier flight characteristics, more passive safety, and forgiving climb behaviour that lets you find and use thermals without working hard for them. Narrow, dimensionally-stable risers and the user-friendly line setup make ground handling effortless even on tight or messy take-offs, and internally-sewn seams on the mini ribs improve durability where lightweight wings usually wear first. Inflation is steady and even, the canopy comes up cleanly above the pilot — useful on mountain take-offs where you do not have many steps. Brake pressure is light initially, building linearly and going noticeably firmer near the stall point — progressive enough that the wing stays controllable in demanding conditions while still telegraphing its limits clearly. SPEED CONTROL works the rear risers on bar to manage angle of attack without releasing the speed system. Wing loading matters: lower in the recommended band the wing is balanced and forgiving for progressing pilots, loaded high or above the recommended range it becomes notably more agile and dynamic. Skywalk's full tech stack is present: JET FLAPS, mini-ribs at the trailing edge, Nitinol C-Wires, Smart Link System (red/blue riser seams), Shark Nose, 3D-Shaping at the leading edge, Rigid Foil with both nylon and Nitinol wires, and the Sand Release System 2.0.
