Gin Boomerang 12
Sobre el Gin Boomerang 12
The Gin Boomerang 12 is the wing that brought Gin's Wave Leading Edge into competition flying — the humpback-whale-tubercle profile developed in the GIN LAB wind tunnel project, run jointly with Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, and patented in South Korea (10-2020-0045494) with a European patent pending (EP20208575.9). 105 cells, 7.55 flat aspect ratio, six sizes, CCC certified.
The Wave Leading Edge generates streamwise vortices that delay the airfoil separation point — which means more lift across the angle-of-attack range, less drag at low AoA and a more delayed, progressive stall. The aerodynamic gain was significant enough that Gin actually pulled the aspect ratio and cell count down compared to where the platform would have had to go to compete on traditional terms — the result is a more compact, more solid wing than peer CCC ships, but with measurably more performance and noticeably easier handling. Six sizes cover 80–137 kg, with overlap engineered into the weight bands so pilots can pick wing size by intended loading rather than just body weight. Wing reserved for current PWC-level competition pilots.
Puntos fuertes
- Wave Leading Edge — patented, wind-tunnel-developed profile that improves lift and stall behavior across the speed range
- Lower aspect ratio than peer CCC wings without giving up performance — more solid, easier to fly
- Six sizes with overlapping weight bands — can be sized to loading, not just body weight
- Compact 105-cell layout despite competition aspirations
- Latest in the Boomerang lineage — long competition pedigree
