The Nova Sector is Nova's low-EN-C XC platform — 67 cells, 5.92 flat aspect ratio, four sizes covering 70–130 kg, EN/LTF C certified. Built unusually light for the class without going to a radical lightweight construction: 4.4 kg in size M places it close to the lightweight wing market, but the structure stays robust enough for everyday use and hike & fly. Won the 2018 sport-class national XC championships in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Nova's pitch is "high level of usable performance" rather than peak numbers — low aspect ratio for the class, short brake travel with moderate brake pressure, balanced thermalling with exceptionally good climb rate, and a flat polar that holds glide on bar. Construction details: Triple Tape Diagonals (Diagonal Tape Ribs, also used on the Phantom) save weight while keeping form stability; "normal" but light, slim risers; clever cloth-mix balance between durability and lightness. Speed-bar layout uses a pulley to re-route the outer A-line — when you push the bar, the inner A-lines fully accelerate while the outer A-lines accelerate by 50%, which improves wing stability and reduces yaw tendency. The Low Drag Brake design uses unusually few line attachment points at the trailing edge — fewer lines = more performance, while still keeping clean brake pressure, sink rate in turn and steering character. Internal structure is simple by sport-class standards: only the kink-resistant nylon rods in the leading edge, no extra reinforcements — explicit application of Nova's "Keep paragliding simple" motto. Doesn't require a concertina bag for packing. Reviewer feedback (Thermik): well suited both to pilots stepping up from EN B and to ambitious sport-class pilots wanting higher passive safety; not the wing for thrill-seekers, but a reliable XC companion.
