An ultralight mountain miniwing for hike & fly, climb & fly and speedflying-style descents, 1.6 kg in size 12 (50 g lighter than the BANTAM 1). Short lines and easy inflation get it up fast and reliably, which is the whole point for races like the Red Bull Dolomitenmann and Rise & Fall. Handling is direct and precise from launch to landing, with more feedback through risers and brakes than the predecessor, and improved flare and stall for soft landings. Aspect ratio is up slightly to 4.5, pilot-to-canopy distance is 4.3 m, and glide, stability and top speed all improved over the BANTAM 1. Sizing spans certifications: the 12 is EN D and gets very dynamic at the top of the weight range, while the 14 is EN C and tame in the lower third, climbing in weak thermals. Coloured sheathed main lines stay untangled, the 7 mm Kevlar-reinforced risers are stiffened against twisting, Nitinol rods hold profile shape and cut packing volume, and included holding pins secure the wing on slippery launches then detach and fly down with you. Fabric is Dominico 10D 26 g/m² top and bottom, Porcher Skytex 27 hard on the ribs.
