Nova Mentor 7 Light

The Nova Mentor 7 Light is the lightweight high-B XC ship from Nova — 66 cells, 5.5 flat aspect ratio, five sizes covering 68–130 kg, EN/LTF B certified across the lineup. Released ahead of the heavier "full-fat" Mentor 7, it carries the latest evolution of Nova's line-concept (a moderate-AR 3-line layout designed to be efficient and stable on bar) and won the Zillertal Battle 2022 in EN A/B-only competition with Ferdi Vogel.

The wing's defining trait, per multiple magazine reviews, is performance and stability under bar in rough air — Thermik described it as "more of a jet than a sailplane", a "thoroughbred XC mile-eater" that you can accelerate mercilessly in moving air and rely on when the wind blows hard. Cross Country Magazine called it "really a benign high-B glider, especially for the performance it provides on full bar", with handling that delivers the advantages of a lighter wing (light feel, quick response) and a clean, solid build. Parapente Mag pointed to the line concept as the gateway to "more powerful, more accessible and more solid" wings going forward — and 250+ km flights have already been logged on it. Excellent on alpine ridge and leeside flying where stability under bar matters, with a calm, composed character throughout the speed range. The full-fat Mentor 7 (heavier, abrasion-resistant fabric) is the alternative for pilots wanting maximum cloth durability — same flying character, just tougher fabric.
